The People & Talent Generalist role will lead the recruiting efforts for the company and will also play a key role in the human resources management function.  This position will bring strong people skills and enthusiasm to the role and will work directly on key initiatives that are important to maintaining the employee-friendly culture at Palisades Media Group.  Currently, the position will be fully remote. We are anticipating that it will be a hybrid role in the near future.


  • Recruiting
    • Recruit and hire for all levels within the company interfacing with hiring managers.
    • Use appropriate online sources, including Bamboo, LinkedIn and diversity sites
    • Implement creative ways to recruit
    • Keep on top of job fairs and other industry events when sourcing candidates
    • Employer presence on LinkedIn and Glass Door
    • Implement “New Employee Highlight” feature

  • Summer Intern Program
    • Identify candidates and work w/ departments on selection process
    • Manage partnership with Compton College
    • Plan and organize Adventures in Advertising series

  • Leaves of Absence
    • Create leave plans for employees needing to take FMLA/CFRA/DBL/PFL leaves
    • Integrate paid benefits with sick, vacation, and employer-paid time
    • Record and track FMLA leave time, keeping abreast of all legal updates/requirements

  • Employee Relations
    • Manage WFH approvals and forms
    • Plan and organize employee events – parties, social events
    • Actively participate in D&I Taskforce on the recruiting & retention pillar

  • Training
    • Manage Cal Chamber Preventing Harassment Training
    • Manage Fire/Building Safety training/drill

  • HRIS – Bamboo Entry & Handbook Updates
    • Support Benefits/Payroll Manager in making updates in Bamboo and keeping track of new laws and guidelines that should be included in Employee Handbook update.

  • Proficient in Outlook. Strong proficiency in Excel/ /Google Sheets.


  • 1-2 years of previous work experience, or an internship, with a focus on one or more aspects of HR.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
